Answers to some common questions I get asked during a phone call or via email :
How much is my unit going to cost to fix and can you give a quote over the phone? Answer: It is really hard to give an estimate until I’ve actually looked inside your equipment on the workbench to determine what is wrong and what parts/components are needed and how much time labour wise I may need to spend repairing it. And in regards to quotes I can’t really do these due to the nature of the job. Sometimes it takes longer to fix something than initially thought. My estimates however are generally within the ballpark costs that I’ve indicated.
What does the $60.00 cover? Answer: This covers my time initially looking at and assessing your unit to find out whats wrong and an estimated cost to fix. This cost also comes off the final cost of the repair once the job is completed. Also if the unit cannot be repaired or is uneconomical then the $60.00 covers my time spent coming to this conclusion.
Can you look at my repair on the spot/Can I drop it off and pick it up the next day? Answer: No. All jobs go into a job cue and they get looked at it comes up the ladder. I generally look at new jobs with in 3-4 days to a week depending on how busy I am at the time.
Hope this clears up any confusion and is in no way condescending its just I get asked this a lot and feel that its worth a mention here.
